This video is a project I directed, edited, storyboarded, and used A.I. voice-over for Healthy Muslim Families, a non-profit organization focused on promoting the well-being of families. As the director, I worked closely with the team to craft a compelling narrative, using A.I. for the voice-over to maintain a professional tone. I handled the editing to create a cohesive, informative video that aligns with the organization’s mission and resonates with the audience.
A 40-minute podcast episode I edited, featuring the inspiring journey of an immigrant from Pakistan to Canada. The conversation explores the challenges of adapting to a new culture and the triumphs of building a successful life. I focused on enhancing audio quality, smoothing transitions, and removing distractions to create a polished and engaging listening experience. Sound balancing and pacing adjustments were carefully applied to maintain clarity and professionalism.
A demo music video my friend and I shot for Bash Fodio, a Nigerian artist with a unique sound and style. Filmed in a fast-paced, run-and-gun style, we spent the entire day driving around downtown Winnipeg, capturing raw and spontaneous moments while maintaining a minimal and symmetrical composition in every shot. I handled the full editing process, including color correction, synchronization, sequencing, and lyric integration, ensuring the final video complemented the rhythm and mood of the track.
ONE tells the story of a young man in his early twenties struggling with severe social anxiety. On his way to class, where a classmate is waiting to hear his ideas, he battles the relentless voices inside his head that threaten to hold him back. As he edges closer to confronting his fear, the question remains: will courage carry him forward, or will uncertainty stop him before he even arrives?
Taxi Driver is a film that draws significant influence from the "French New Wave" movement, more than many might realize. One of the key films that left a lasting impact on Taxi Driver is Jean-Luc Godard's Breathless, a groundbreaking piece that played a major role in shaping modern cinema. The stylistic choices, narrative techniques, and overall approach to filmmaking in Breathless can be seen echoed in Taxi Driver, from its character-driven story to its unconventional cinematography. In this video, I dive deeper into the connections between both films and analyze how Breathless influenced Taxi Driver's unique style and storytelling.
Attack on Titan is not just an anime, it's an experience, a powerful narrative that transcends the boundaries of traditional storytelling. Over the years, it has become more than just a show I watch; it has been a profound life lesson that has shaped my perspective on life, strength, and perseverance. In this video, I share my personal journey through the world of Attack on Titan, reflecting on how it has influenced my views, my personal growth, and the lessons I’ve carried with me from the series. It’s not just a story about humanity’s struggle for survival, it's a mirror that forces us to confront our own battles, choices, and growth as individuals.
A mock film trailer I created using stock footage, sound effects, and a voice-over (V.O.) sourced online. It follows a police investigator who is emotionally shaken by the mysterious death of someone close to him, leading him down a dark path of hidden truths. I selected stock footage to capture the suspense of the investigation and the emotional depth of the protagonist. Sound effects and the voice-over were carefully chosen to amplify the atmosphere and tension. Additionally, I applied basic color correction and grading to set a darker, more somber tone that enhances the thriller vibe.
Co-shot a moody short piece using minimal equipment (tripod, camera, and an iPhone for a low-light interior driving shot); edited the video, mixed the audio, and selected the background score.
We may have made a Short Film... but this might be absolute cinema!
